Jonathan Villacres  Founder | Instructor | Word Wizard  Chicago native, Jonathan began practicing yoga after a string of injuries hindered him from accomplishing his then goal; to complete an Ironman Triathlon.  “I’ve always had a connection with my physical body, but I began searching for something deeper within myself. I was looking for more positive and constructive ways to express myself, and to help others. But I knew that I had to help myself first, and that started with my yoga practice”  Jonathan, also cousin of Brian, began teaching yoga at various yoga studios and fitness centers around the city, in the summer of 2014. Since, he’s been a dedicated student and teacher; traveling the world to learn of yoga philosophy, traditional asana and educated sequencing.  Jonathan’s classes are sequenced to be accessible to all bodies. Classes are designed with careful intention and thought, making them an inner and outer body experience. Meant to empower students, Jonathan’s intention is to create an accessible, affordable, judgement-free yoga community within the beaches of his home town. Jordyn  Instructor  Jordyn found yoga summer of 2014, and fell in love with the journey. It started as a workout option, but became a life long practice for the mind, body, and spirit. She finished both her Yoga and Pilates teacher trainings at Essence of Life, and is excited to bring the practice to the beach with you all this summer!  Outside of yoga, she’s also a licensed professional counselor and a fur mom to her pitbull, Hobbs! Jordyn’s goal in all of her classes is to create a space that everyone feels welcomed and safe to step outside their comfort zone; and to let go of expectations, and get immersed in the process of learning and growing on this journey.

Jennifer  Instructor  Jennifer started practicing yoga to help strengthen, improve flexibility, and prolong her career as a professional dancer with The Joffrey Ballet. After 16 years with the company Jennifer left to pursue a freelance career and began experiencing the challenges and unpredictability of this new career and her unknown future. She decided dive into her yoga practice on a deeper level and began feeling the healing effects immediately. Continuing on this new path, Jennifer completed her 1st teacher training with Core Power Yoga and began transitioning into teaching yoga.  Since then she has attended numerous trainings, workshops, and festivals around the country where she found an even deeper sense of self and yoga. Following this exploration of the more internal, traditional, and holistic practice of yoga she travelled to India, where she received her 200hr RYT in Radiant Body Yoga with Kia Miller and her 300hr RYT in Sattva Yoga with Anand Mehotra. These trainings combine elements of Kundalini, Kriya, Meditation, Pranayama, and Mantra. Jennifer is dedicated to learning and growing as a teacher as well as in her own practice and has received additional trainings in Iyengar, Yin, Restorative, Yoga Nidra and has completed some master trainings in Mantra & Meditation. Jennifer co- leads teacher trainings, workshops and retreats, and practices bhakti yoga; the path of devotion and love, which ignited her love of kirtan and playing her harmonium.  "My goal is to encourage everyone to find their own inner strength and peace, to continue growing and moving forward in life, and to live through eyes of love”  ~Live, Love, Breathe ॐ
